Dj Krazy Kon started djing in 1990. In late 1994 he branched out to begin working for himself and dedicated his DJ career to Greek music and club work. Today he is Sydney’s and possibly Australia’s leading Greek DJ and his Djing portfolio includes working at many of the bars and clubs opened in recent years.

These of which include in the past: Eclipse @ Kogarah Bay, Cosmos @ Bexley North Hotel, Enigma @ Southern Cross Hotel, Karagiozi Bar – Byblos, Koo Club – Sydney Airport Sheraton, Bonkas at the City Hotel & Millenium Room, Kingsize @ Red Martins, Randevou @ Brighton, Mediterraneo @ Skygarden, DV8 Under 18’s @ The Cyprian Club.

Highlights of Career so far: He has now been selected 3 times (1998,1999,2001) to play at the biggest social greek event of the calender year - The Annual Sydney Greek Festival - Street Fair @ Brighton Beach which sees Dj Krazy Kon close the festival Djing in front of more than 40,000 people. Another highlight of his career to date was on a recent trip to Greece in 1998, were Dj Krazy Kon got the chance to play at Bourloto in Limnos, a club owned by Stelios Rokkos.

PRODUCER One of Dj Krazy Kon’s dreams was to start producing Greek music. Like international house dj’s Davis Morales, Roger Sanchez, Arman Van Helden and even Australian born Paulmac, dj Krazy Kon was to start producing greek dance music. This involving writing, arranging and mixing his own music with the use of local Australian born vocalists.

In April 2001 he began his first of many projects, which was to put together a locally Australian released Greek dance track. He acquired the services of songwriter Michael Falaras and local vocalist Makis Benetatos and a prominent dance sound was chosen to show of the natural sounds of the greek bouzouki. After weeks of work in the studio, a song called Pos Kanis Etsi (“Why are you being like that”) was produced. The song featured 3 original dance mixes with the dance mix, bouzouki mix and the dub mix. The song was completed in mid May 2001.

This is the first time in Australia, a greek dj has arranged, mixed and produced his very original song and through his company Daris Media Group, Dj Krazy Kon released his cd single around Australia in June, 2001. In the first month of release in Australia, “Pos Kanis Etsi” hit number one in the Greek Club charts and became the highest selling locally released cd ever produced here in Australia by a local Greek artist.

Dj Krazy Kon is now working on his next cd release which is called “Kounato” (Shake It) and features the Australian born Greek diva Maria Stavropoulos on vocals. It will be out in stores in early February 2002 and Dj Krazy Kon believes this release will be a huge club hit across Australia. More info coming soon.
